Züri

Züri is a text adventure game released for the Commodore Amiga in 1994. In Züri the player explores various iconic locations in Zurich, Switzerland. Ironically, the game does not start in Zurich, but in Salzburg, Austria. The texts are written in a humorous, casual style and are often self-ironic. The game also contains a number of inside jokes that will be understood by people from Zurich, but may not be clear to foreigners or even people from different parts of Switzerland. Züri is thus an interesting hyper-local game — a game made by and for locals.

On the developers' website, Züri can be downloaded for various platforms or played directly in the browser. They describe their game as follows:

Züri - A big hidden object game in a small town. Developed and published: 1991 to 1994.

Züri is an adventure game in the classic sense in the style of “Deja vu”, Uninvited, Holiday-Maker. Züri does without animations and lives from successful graphics and biting humor. The city is brought closer to you in 60 pictures. But the puzzles are often not so trivial to crack.
