Transworld

Transworld is a turn-based business simulation game released for the C64, Amiga, Atari ST and PC. Up to four players take control of a trucking company and try to grow their empire by making smart business decisions. Players can manage their fleet of trucks, accept or decline orders, buy goods, hire drivers and build warehouses to make the most money. The game consists of nine main menus, which in turn contain sub-menus of varying complexity. These menus contain a large number of different actions that the player can perform. For example, in the 'Fleet' menu, the player can buy and sell lorries and carry out lorry repairs. Other menu items include the Warehouse, Employment Office, Bank, Branches, Office and many more, where the player can upgrade their buildings, invest in TV and radio commercials, speculate on the stock market, go on holiday or declare bankruptcy. The Amiga conversion was made by Christian A. Weber based on the DOS version and released in 1990.
