Sex Komplex is an interactive infotainment program for Windows 95 that was developed as part of an AIDS awareness campaign for Switzerland and Germany and published in 1998 by the Swiss AIDS Information Center and the federal association PRO FAMILIA. It is an advertising game and the successor to the game Tim und Nina, which was also published by the Swiss AIDS Documentation Center in 1995. In 2003, the Swiss AIDS Documentation Center ceased its activities.

Storytelling and visual design
Unlike its predecessor, Sex Komplex is no longer a classic adventure game, but focuses on a more information-oriented interaction structure. The starting point of the plot is a shared apartment with six residents – Tim, Nina (also known from the previous game), Baba, Kiko, Tati, and Lukas. The user takes on the role of an observer who can interview the residents, explore the house, and access their computer diaries. In this way, the topics of eroticism, sex education, sex, and love are explored in a light-hearted and entertaining way. In addition to the interactive part, information sheets and accompanying texts are available.

The game is illustrated in a clip art style that became very popular in the 1990s, partly because Microsoft made this style accessible to a wide audience with the clip art library in Microsoft Office.
