Garrison

Garrison is a top-down hack-and-slash game for the Amiga, with some similarities to the arcade game Gauntlet (Atari Games). The game has a fantasy setting and supports up to five players. It features over 100 labyrinthine levels in which players face hordes of enemies and collect valuable items as they progress. Each playable character has different strengths and weaknesses in their abilities. These skills can be utilised more effectively when playing with others, particularly in certain levels that may benefit from specific abilities such as speed or magic. The enemies in the game present a variety of challenges, including different types of attacks, such as ranged, melee or magic-based attacks. Player characters lose health points when they are attacked, and a run is over when all characters' health points have been reduced to zero. The game also features a Hall of Fame based highscore table. Garrison was mainly developed by a German team, but had some Swiss involvement from Roland Petermann and Pascal De Sapio.
