Globi 1, 2, 3! is a CD-ROM game from the 1990s based on the Swiss children's book character Globi. It was developed and produced by Walter Systems AG. Designed for children, the game features a multiplayer mode with up to four players who take turns within the same playthrough. The game language can be selected between Swiss German and Standard German. It offers several difficulty levels, adjustable to suit different age groups, as well as selectable playing times (30, 60, or 90 minutes). As of today (2026), the CD-ROM can still be purchased from the Globi publishing house website for CHF 28.00.

Gameplay and Story
The game is embedded in an overarching storyline. The goal is to find the so-called black pearl, located on a central island. Players move from island to island, solving tasks based on the four basic arithmetic operations. Number tokens are awarded for correctly solved problems. Only when a specific combination of these number tiles is achieved is access to Pearl Island unlocked.

The game characters consist of Globi and several animal companions, including a panda, a penguin, a marmot, and a Madagascan bird. At the beginning, players choose an avatar that represents them throughout the game.

The individual game sections are organized as minigames, which use different task formats. The game mechanics are based on familiar game types such as puzzles, search games, and reaction games. Globi takes on a moderating role: He guides the player through the game, provides feedback on player results, and verbally comments on progress.

A point system in the form of Globitaler serves both as a reward system and as a connecting element between the minigames. Globitaler can be collected during the game and used in subsequent sections. Additionally, there is a high score system that allows players to compare their scores.

Globi Series
In 1997, the company fortissimo developed Globi from A to Z and released it under license from Globi Verlag. "The game became a real hit, quickly reaching the top of the bestseller lists. Perhaps this was because it was one of the only educational games for children at the time, and it could also be played in Swiss German."
